Full Job Description

  • Responsible for the new business development and sales cycle of CHAMP's portfolio to meet the goals for CHAMP in the assigned market.
  • Identify opportunities in the market and follow up on all inbound leads assigned in the shortest of time.
  • Direct and manage all existing sales initiatives for CHAMP in the assigned territory. Provide customers and prospects with high value proposals, presentations on the business benefits and value CHAMP brings to the customer.
  • Key tasks include bid management, negotiation, and presentation.
  • Monitor and report on performance, customer. satisfaction, market intelligence and competitive landscape.
  • Collect and use market information in order to achieve sales objectives, manage multiple internal stakeholders, including, Product Management, Project Management, Development and Service Desk to ensure that suitably qualified resources are available to support customers daily needs, sales opportunities and delivery.
  • Establish and develop direct contacts with the relevant senior decision making executives.
  • Responsible for preparing, submitting and on-going maintenance of business cases for review and approval. Business cases are required to meet financial threshold guidelines while maintaining value to clients.
  • Maybe asked to participate in events and forums to showcase the CHAMP suite of products and services, prospect for new leads and keep up to date with industry trends and issues. Detailed reports of event activities, market intelligence and competitor information will be submitted after each event.
  • Ensure that all internal tools such as CRM are regularly updated with accurate information.
  • Orchestrate and manage lengthy and complex sales processes.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to facilitate successful negotiations.
  • Develop and manage detailed sales project plans.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and partners.
  • Identify regional market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Conduct market research to understand regional needs and preferences.
  • Lead the development and submission of responses to RFPs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all RFP documentation.
  • Will own the sale up to and including contracting with the client.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Travel required: up to 10-15%

    High level of interpersonal skills, naturally positive and upbeat personality, yet able to be credible at all levels, including presenting to a board of directors.
  • Must have a high standard of written and spoken English
  • Other languages would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to handle multiple changing priorities, including learning new systems and processes with confidence and accuracy.
  • Experience in compiling complex contracts, monitoring their progress and keeping the momentum on track for clients and final closing.
  • High level of proficiency in current versions of IT applications e.g. Microsoft Office, CRM and forecasting tools.
  • Proven track record of managing complex sales processes and negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in developing and executing sales project plans.
  • Ability to create and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Experience with market analysis and identifying regional market opportunities.
  • Proficiency in managing and responding to RFPs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working within the Air Cargo Transport Industry, either with Cargo Ground Handling, Airline - Cargo Division, Freight Forwarder or GSA- Cargo.
  • Proven experience of successful sales and customer relationship management.
  • Must have a high standard of written and spoken English
  • Advantage if you already have experience selling SaaS services over and above the Minimum Cargo experience.
