Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Northern Sales Specialist within our Diagnostic Oncology division. This field-based role involves developing and driving new business growth for BD's prostate biopsy and core needle portfolio. Working with a range of biopsy equipment for Prostate, Lung, Liver, and soft tissues, you will support clinicians and healthcare providers in delivering advanced medical procedures. Covering the North East and North West regions (from Liverpool to Hull and above), the role requires four days in the field and occasional overnight stays. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a clinical environment, providing hands-on technical support, influencing customer decisions, and managing a diverse portfolio to improve patient outcomes.,

  • Expand the prostate biopsy portfolio by promoting the transperineal biopsy technique.
  • Build strong relationships with Urology Surgeons, Radiologists, and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
  • Manage and transition accounts to new procedural approaches while identifying areas for business growth.
  • Support clinical cases by providing comprehensive product and procedural training.
  • Organise and drive attendance to training workshops aimed at improving clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and develop influential clinical partners.
  • Explore opportunities to expand the core needle portfolio into lung, liver, and other soft tissue areas.
  • Deliver value-based propositions to clinical and procurement teams.

    Proven experience in medical sales with success in introducing new product lines and driving sales strategies.
  • Strong account management skills, including the ability to build relationships with new clients while nurturing established accounts.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with an ability to influence decision-makers across healthcare settings.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and tools for account and territory management.
  • Familiarity with Urology and Radiology departments and experience in tender preparation is preferred.
  • Committed to achieving measurable outcomes with outstanding planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Degree-qualified candidates with experience in medical device sales are encouraged to apply, but transferable skills from other sectors are also considered.
