We now have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the internal sales support team as a sales support adviser at our cutting-edge Sheffield manufacturing facility, Norfolk Bridge Works. If so, then you could be a perfect fit for the Gripple UK & Ireland sales support team. What is the role You will join an established team and your role will be vital in supporting both customers and colleagues to deliver and add value through your own work, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role will involve collaboration with most areas of the business to deliver the very highest level of customer service to our customers and support to the UK external sales team. Reporting to and working closely with the Sales Office Manager, core responsibilities will include:

  • handling inbound and outbound calls professionally, offering product solutions and accurate pricing
  • processing sales orders and quotes received by phone and email, and proactively managing the process through to delivery
  • maintaining and updating information on the company CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • providing proactive desk-based account management, with responsibility for your own customer base and region
  • working closely to support the external sales team on key projects to deliver on time, in full
  • attending occasional regional and customer meetings
  • developing and maintaining customer relationships and resolving customer objections/queries
  • liaising and working closely with various departments across the business, including marketing, technical and quality
  • undertaking proactive calling to gain and increase account revenue
  • supporting marketing campaigns
  • helping with other administrative duties for the department as and when required
  • Working hours Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5.00pm (core office hours of 7.00am-7.00pm Monday-Friday)., Whilst not mandatory, your completion of the applicant ethnic monitoring form will help us monitor and encourage equality and diversity.     To be considered, you will have held a previous office and/or team-based role (ideally within manufacturing) and be able to offer the following:
  • Excellent customer service, sales, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and have a positive, proactive approach to work, as well as being a team player who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to handle complex and technical enquiries, and provide the customer with the best possible solution for their needs
  • A high level of organisation and good administrative abilities
  • Ambitious and results driven, with an ability to think ahead
  • Strong computer skills, in particular Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent questioning skills with an inquisitive nature
  • A desire to learn and develop in an employee-owned business
  • Brilliant attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems would be beneficial to the role
