Sample Registration Technician

As a Sample Registration Technician, you will complete the registration of water samples for a given method. You will also assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory. Please note, no previous experience within laboratory is required, full training is provided. We are keen to receive applications from candidates who are willing to learn new skills and used to working within a fast paced environment. Duties include:

• Sorts through all sample deliveries and arranges samples in time order.
• Match sample paperwork to the relevant samples.
• Register samples into our IT system meeting the testing requirements provided by the customer.
• Communicate with internal teams or external customers to clarify testing details or specifications.
• Troubleshoot any issues related to sample registration.
• Ensure accurate labelling, storage and disposal of samples takes place.
• Ensure that sample registration is completed in a timely manner.
• Work in line with our quality procedures to maintain accreditation.
• Collaborate with other team members and show flexibility to help meet demand.
• Work with the team to ensure that all waste generated is removed from the lab via the correct waste streams.
• Undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.
