You should thrive on variety and enjoy leading the technical direction and operational strategy across an entire complex SAP landscape.

Our SAP Architects generally operate as technical leads within a project or programme team from the onset of solution design and development through to final delivery and support in Live Service, including incident management, and your role will be to set their strategic direction and to govern their delivery.

You may be required to support the development of commercial proposals and input to the operations and management considerations of the technical solution.

Managing key customer stakeholders and developing close relationships is a critical aspect of the role in order to gain trust and be able to influence the direction of travel.

You will also support the SAP Delivery Centre senior management team in improving the capability and quality of our deliveries.

Hybrid working : The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business;

it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

Reporting to the SAP Lead Architect, you will have responsibility for ensuring the overall Operational fitness for purpose of technical solution designs created by the Architects.

You will also be responsible for helping to solve technical challenges and decisions in partnership with the technical leads as well as Project and Engagement Management communities to safely deliver the solution into Live operation.

You will be accountable for ensuring the designs are operationally ready to run reliably and cost effectively in Production.

Some of the key activities of the role are :

  • Understand and influence client requirements, deliverables and accountabilities to ensure adherence to Architecture Governance processes, industry and SAP solution best practices and to maintain consistency with the client's Architecture vision.

  • Successfully manage to the agreed technical scope during the project and take ownership of architectural solutions and non-functional requirements based on the client's requirements.

  • Influence the client's strategic direction to ensure that we provide the latest strategic thinking from across the global Capgemini Group to the client's benefit.

  • Govern that our architects produce clear architectural artifacts, including landscape designs, system sizing and a well-managed RAID log.

    We require a senior SAP Technical Operations Architect with the experience and ability to operate across multiple technology and business domains., Deep understanding of high-volume architectural and technical SAP solutions (including ECC, Portal and PI).

  • High-level of understanding of Non-Functional Requirements and clarity in the mitigation of their impact on SAP solutions.

  • Experience of senior client stakeholder relationship building.

  • Able to set strategic direction, technical scope and to build / lead teams of technical individuals and govern their technical deliverables.

  • Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills, in particular for technical problem solving / troubleshooting activities.

    To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
