The Forensics Department are seeking to appoint a full-time Crime Scene Investigator (Level 2) to be based at Cheshire Police Headquarters in Winsford. We are looking for a highly driven and motivated candidate to join us, where you will work as part of a professional team examining volume crime scenes as well as more serious and major incidents under guidance. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are wishing for a career within an exciting, continually developing and innovative field. We are seeking a candidate who has a naturally inquisitive mindset and can display a high level of problem solving. You will need to be confident, capable of learning quickly and have excellent communication skills. As a Crime Scene Investigator, you will regularly work alone, including during the hours of darkness. Therefore, you will ideally need to be resilient and perceptive with a discerning character. You will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern, including weekend working, for which a 12.5% shift allowance is awarded, plus enhanced rates at weekends. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and successfully pass a Vetting process. Qualifications required Ideally have successfully completed CSI Stage 1 & 2 training or equivalent Forensic based degree Cheshire Constabulary is fully supportive of diversity, equality and inclusion and strives to employ a workforce which is representative of the community it serves.
