Full Job Description
- As a Scheduler you will work with the Service Delivery Team and Depot Management Team to introduce temporary schedules to minimise delays through long-term disruption such as road works.
- To provide information / data regarding schedules as required including reporting on service change impacts to internal and external partners.
- As a Schedules Compiler constantly strive to improve driver / vehicle schedule efficiency and service punctuality.
- To maintain a full knowledge of the Domestic Drivers Hours regulations (where different from the Company Scheduling Agreement) and European Drivers Hours Regulations.
- Scheduler to maintain a full knowledge of the Company's operating area, particularly with regard to Depots and relief point locations.
Must have experience in a similar role using computer-based scheduling software. (Experience of Hastus Scheduling software - desirable). - Good understanding of financial and costing procedures required.
- Must have knowledge of the Domestic Driving Hours Regulations.
- Comprehensive geographical knowledge of Greater Manchester (desirable)
- Flexibility to adjust to ever changing industry demands and resilience in working under pressure.
- Must be able to demonstrate credibility to build professional relationships with both employees and managers, and external stakeholders including the Trade Unions.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a natural flair of providing support and guidance and going 'the extra mile'.
