Gateway Housing has been supporting communities to thrive since 1926. We are an ambitious London based housing association with over 3,000 homes in the heart of London's East End. We provide social rented homes, shared ownership, and sheltered housing. We develop new homes too and are part way through an exciting programme to deliver another 250 homes by 2025. As a community housing association based in the East End for nearly 100 years, we're proud of the work we do to address the housing crisis through building and managing great homes. We are looking for a Scheme Coordinator to deliver an enhanced housing management service to sheltered scheme residents enabling them maintain their independence and quality of life with an increased level of assistance. Your accountabilities will include but not limited to:

  • Support in the delivery of an effective and compliant housing service incorporating all matters of tenancy letting, tenancy management, transfers, and enforcement.
  • Liaise with all relevant agencies, both statutory and voluntary, on the resident's behalf when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe environment for all individuals in the scheme by ensuring that repairs are reported as soon as possible and that hazards are removed or made safe.
  • Monitor the completion of telecare alarm system testing, case reviews, fire safety testing and H&S inspections ensuring any resulting actions are completed.
  • Ensure that all actions identified in the fire risk assessment for the service are completed and access to the building is co-ordinated with the contractors.
  • Working with Community Investment programs to identify and continue digital training that is tailored to suit varying experience for older people in housing schemes.
  • Developing and maintaining effective strategic relationships with health and social care services to ensure the provision of housing advice and preventative services are available to older residents.
  • Consult with residents on scheme-based decisions and facilitate regular Tenant Involvement Group (TIG) meetings.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences both verbally and in writing.
