Full Job Description

At Pobl Group, this role is best known as a Scheme Support Officer. Our Supported Accommodation service in the Rhondda area [Ton Pentre] has opportunity for a Full-time (37 hrs), permanent Scheme Support Officer to join their well-established team.

The successful candidate will need to have a drivers licence and access to a car.

Where does the role fit it?

Caersalem House is a supported accommodation service that provides a housing solution for homeless people with varying support needs. Here at Caersalem, we work with the people we support to plan goals that will get them to live independently in their own tenancy. It is also a chance for people who were homeless to engage with the right services that will attend to their other support needs.

This is an interactive role where you will be delivering workshops and activities that allow the people we support to grow and develop their skills and confidence. You'll be surrounded by a committed and dedicated team who are supportive and make this an enjoyable place to work.

Day to Day Duties:

As a Scheme Support Officer, you will collaborate with the Project Workers to support individuals in achieving their goals. Additionally, you will be required to perform sleep-in shifts at the scheme, where you will be provided with a private area that includes a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.

Your day will consist of:
- Engaging and interacting with the people we support
- Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
- Welfare checks
- Organising and participating in day trips
- Maintenance checks such as health & safety, fire safety
- Cleaning as required
- Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have

Our motivation is to ensure we equip the people we support with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour.

You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

Competitive salary of £23,367.60 FTE
Full-time (37 hrs), permanent
Work Pattern: The scheme is covered 24 hours, 7 days a week so you would be expected to work on a rota basis which would involve: day shifts, weekends & sleep ins.
You will receive an additional payment for sleep ins.
Our service is staffed 24/7 therefore shifts include working weekends & bank holidays.
For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.
