Full Job Description

At Pobl Group, this role is best known as a Scheme Support Officer. We are looking for two Part-time (20hrs) night owls to join our Young Persons support accommodation service as a Scheme Support Officer., This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who has a passion for helping young people recognise their true potential and will provide you with a rewarding career. You will act as a first point of contact for the people we support. You will build positive relationships by helping them make a transition into independent living and advise on move on options. You will provide advice with budgeting and money management, including welfare benefits, as well as support them in a practical way, with regards to day to day living skills.

Your day will consist of:

- You will work with people to truly make a difference in their life
- Use your skills and talents to engage with people
- Support people to achieve their potential
- Develop your networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies
- You will be responsible for Health and Safety checks along with other additional duties.
- You will be the point of contact for our clients, whether they need advice, support, guidance, or somebody to talk to at the end of the day.

Our aim is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role as this service delivers intensive support around each client's recovery before focus is put on the housing related support and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse, anti-social behaviour and offending behaviour.

Have knowledge of housing related support and benefit systems
Have good organisation, IT and record keeping skills
Can work part of a team and on an individual basis
Deal with difficult situations
Have good listening skills
It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
