Full Job Description

This role will entail undertaking efficient and accurate tracking of data and monitoring of records, e.g. SIMS, returns for the Local Authority, MyConcern, SEN Register, Triaging and respond to daily enquiries from parents, via WeDuc (or other online platform) or email and answering enquiries by telephone using the school switchboard, or face to face , in a timely manner whilst maintaining a high level of service. John Ferneley College are seeking to appoint a highly organised and motivated school support administrator to provide a confidential and high-quality administration service to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and other members of staff where required., In this role you will require a high attention to detail and maintain confidentially, you will also be working in a team consisting of 2-3 other support administrators.

The remuneration package includes a competitive salary, generous annual leave entitlement and contributory public-sector pension scheme:

  • This role will be 37.0 hours per week over 5 days and is Term time plus INSET plus one week in the holiday.


  • Salary will be Grade 5, £23,118 (LCC07)- £23,505 (LCC08) FTE dependent on experience.


  • Actual salary based on 37.0 term time plus inset plus will be: £ 20,293.38- £ 20,633.10


  • Working weeks: 40- Term time plus INSET plus one week on the holiday


  • Paid weeks: 45.80363
