Full Job Description
Role Overview: Arco Academy is seeking an efficient, highly organised and experienced School Administrator to lead our school's day-to-day operations and support our commitment to educational excellence. This key role requires a proactive and organized individual with a passion for fostering a positive learning environment, supporting staff, and engaging with the school community. As a School Administrator, you will oversee school operations, drive academic initiatives, and build effective relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community. Key Responsibilities: The School Administrator will be responsible for the following areas, though this list is not exhaustive:
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support effective curriculum delivery, teaching practices, and student performance standards.
- Manage daily school operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with educational regulations.
- Create a welcoming school environment, address student issues, and ensure open communication with parents and guardians.
- Develop and implement policies, initiatives, and programs aligned with the school's vision and educational goals.
- Act as the primary contact with the local community, represent the school in events, and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders. Candidate Requirements:
- A good standard of education to at least GCSE Grade C level or equivalent in English and Mathematics
- At least 2 years experience in a school based office role
- Operate relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. word, excel, databases, spreadsheets, Internet)
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Highly organised
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to foster constructive relationships with, and gain the confidence of, young people, parents/carers and colleagues
- Exceptional communication with all age groups and abilities, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team
- Ability to self-manage, and prioritise workloads effectively using initiative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to be proactive, flexible and adaptable
- Ability to analyse and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
- Willingness to undertake additional training
- Willingness to support with offsite visits as well as staff and student meetings Desirable Qualifications:
- Educated to a degree level
- Current First Aid certificate
- Up to date knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education, Safeguarding and GDPR compliance
- Experience/knowledge of Bromcom or other similar school information system
- Knowledge of InVentry system
