Full Job Description

  • Use or be familiar with SIMS (training will be provided).
  • Input data accurately and maintain records.
  • Track pupil attendance, analyse data and write reports to Governors.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Work to deadlines.
  • Liaise with external agencies.
  • Be sensitive to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Create and monitor a Trip and Activities Calendar for use for both Staff and Families
  • Prepare and distribute letters regarding school trips.
  • In addition;
  • Be the first point of call for the reception of visitors and telephone calls to the school when required
  • Confident and accurate use of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel, to help support the school's administrative team
  • Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.

    We are seeking a motivated and experienced Attendance Officer & Administrator to join our dedicated team at our two-form entry primary school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office administration, excellent multi-tasking abilities, and a keen attention to detail. A proactive approach and willingness to go above and beyond are essential, along with a desire to enhance their understanding of school office functions. Familiarity with SIMS is preferred, but we will provide training for the right individual.

    Weald Rise Primary School is currently a growing two form entry primary school with a popular Nursery. Seventy-three per cent of pupils attending the school are from a wide range of minority ethnic groups. Seventy per cent of pupils speak English as an additional language.
