Full Job Description
St Hubert's has an exciting opportunity for a conscientious, hard working, flexible team player who would work closely with the SLT and headteacher to enable the smooth running of our school. The role would require the successful candidate to be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of financial and administrative services within the school. The role of business manager also involves some liaising with contractors in matters relating to the upkeep of the building. The successful candidate will line manage a small team of administrative staff and ensure the administrative functions, systems and processes are effective and efficient. You will also contribute to the general clerical and administrative duties including welcoming students, parents and visitors, dealing with telephone enquiries, maintaining student records, using the school's IT systems for maintaining school dinners, trips, income, online payments and communicating with parents. Applicants will require
a prior knowledge of SIMS and will be competent in a range of IT skills. Preferably with previous experience of managing staff. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team but also be able to prioritise their workload, using their own initiative to solve problems, be adaptable to any future changes necessary to meet the needs of the school. As first point of contact, you must have excellent communication skills, be smart and always have a professional and positive attitude. We are keen to appoint somebody who has high expectations of themselves, with the ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy is a priority in all work undertaken. This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro -rata basis.
English and Maths GCSE or equivalent, Working at or a commitment to work towards the Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM) or equivalent qualification.
Essential Experience
Experience in administrative/finance roles in schools.
