School Caretaker

Curnow School (a member of the Special Partnership Trust) is an outstanding all age special school, supporting pupils with challenging behaviours, severe physical and/or learning difficulties. We are based across 3 sites (Curnow Upper at Redruth, Curnow Lower at Illogan and The Karder Hub at St Columb Major). We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic and well-organised Caretaker to undertake general maintenance of the school buildings, facilities and grounds as well as supporting with all aspects of health & safety compliance. The successful applicant will work alongside our experienced Premises Supervisor who will provide training as needed to ensure a smooth induction and help to support potential future progression within the premises team should the successful candidate be keen for advancement. If you're looking for an exciting new challenge and have the drive and enthusiasm to provide excellent premises support within our school community, we would welcome your application. Experience of working within a school environment would be beneficial but not essential as relevant training will be provided. The successful applicant will help to launch and embed a new on-line maintenance reporting system so basic IT and good communication skills would be advantageous. A full driving license is required for this role as our caretaker will travel between the various school sites.
