About this Role

The successful candidate must be able to implement and maintain arrangements for first-aid provision to comply with statutory, regulatory, and school policy and protocol requirements including the co-ordination of first-aiders, maintenance of records, accident reporting arrangements and making sound judgements on the escalation of medical matters as required.

· A genuine interest in the health and welfare of children

· Motivation to work with children and young people

· Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children, families, and colleagues

Ability to stand back and view potentially difficult situations with a sense of detachment in order to be able to make sound, objective judgements Awareness of child protection issues

· Ability to analyse complex information relating to a child's health, care needs or need for safeguarding

· Ability to communicate with and relate to adults and young children.
