Full Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives? Do you have the drive and commitment to help students unlock their full potential? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a School Link Mentor. In this diverse and rewarding role, you will work with students aged 14-16, collaborate with school staff, and engage with colleagues across the college to create meaningful learning experiences. As the primary point of contact for Year 10 and 11 students who remain on their school roll but are attending College courses, your role will be crucial in ensuring each learner has a positive, successful experience and is empowered to pursue their future career goals. School Link Mentor - Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students' mental health and wellbeing.
  • Conducting one-on-one tutorials to discuss student progress and challenges.
  • Liaising with school pastoral teams and working closely with college curriculum staff.
  • Encouraging and guiding students to succeed in their studies and explore career pathways.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people, particularly those with social, emotional, mental health, or behavioural challenges. School Link Mentor - You: We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who is passionate about engaging and supporting students, especially those facing educational challenges. You should be a team player, with the ability to remain positive and solution-focused in the face of difficulties. To excel in this role, you should have:
  • A level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant filed.
  • Experience of working with young people.
