Are you a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nursing) or due to qualify soon? Do you want to make a difference and be part of further developing our service? We have an exciting opportunity for School Nurses (SN) with a passion for public health and the search for health needs to become SN Public Health Quality Fellow. You will be a part of the School Nursing team, which is within the Public Health 0-19 services in Merton. You will undertake the School Nurse role for 80% (4 days) of your clinical time. 20% (1 day) of your role will be dedicated to working within a structured 6-9 month work-based programme that will be supervised by the CLCH Public Health Nurse Consultant. You will identify, design and manage a project focusing on health at a population level, looking at ways to make communities and environments healthier, reducing ill-health and tackling health inequalities. The CLCH Quality Improvement team will support your project design, providing training and project support to develop you in your public health project. The practitioner must be a Registered Nurse with a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Qualification (School Nursing). The applicant should demonstrate leadership skills, knowledge of safeguarding and child protection processes and offer flexibility in managing their caseload. To plan, organize and evaluate an innovative School Nursing service, and where appropriate, delegate to other members of the School Health team to ensure delivery of a high quality service To provide a skilled, effective and evidence-based School Nursing service to clients in a variety of community settings. To work in collaboration with other health care and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services for clients and communities To collaborate with team colleagues in order to deliver the Quality Strategy objectives Just as we care about our patients' wellbeing, we care about yours!
