Would you like to train as a School Nurse in Waltham Forest? The GP Care Group is a not-for-profit CIC and aims to provide innovative high quality, responsive and accessible health services. As national leaders in new models of care we provide universal 0-19 services (health visiting and school nursing) as well as a Family Nurse Partnership. We deliver services in the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. School Nurses are the leaders of the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme offering a four level service model with community, universal, targeted and specialist services to families. You will add value at every contact with a young person and or family, addressing the main public health needs of the Borough working closely with the local authority, GP Practices and other partners to improve outcomes for our children and young people. You will be part of a drive to provide innovative, high quality, responsive and accessible health services to offer families access to integrated care including health, social care and voluntary community services. You will add value at every contact with a young person and/or family, addressing the main public health needs of the Borough working closely with the local authority, GP Practices, and other partners to improve outcomes for our children and young people. Successful applicants for Tower Hamlets will study at Greenwich University from January 2025 Please note our interview process is held in two stages. Shortlisted candidates will have to attend in person for a literacy and numeracy test first on 29/10/2024. Only on successful completion of these tests will you be progressed to interview, which will be held during the following week.
You will need to be a qualified and registered nurse or midwife. You will study at post graduate level for 52 weeks with a balance of half time in practice and half with the university.
