Full Job Description

Full-time, term time only, 35 hours a week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Science specialist to join out successful science department at Parliament Hill School. As an Academic Tutor, you will be primarily supporting Year 9, 10 and 11 students' academic development and progress in Science through their GCSEs, supporting the students' action plans and overcoming barriers to their academic learning.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience of working with the 14-16 years' age group and will be able to demonstrate an ability to motivate them towards achieving academic goals within science. You will have a thorough understanding of what it takes to identify and work on student's areas of development and you will be able to engage your students using a variety of resources and approaches.

Parliament Hill in collaboration with Torriano Primary School has formed the new North London Alliance Research School as part of the EEF's Research Schools Network. Our innovative cross phase partnership brings together primary and secondary teachers and leaders to implement evidence based EEF approaches to raise the attainment of all pupils, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
