- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring the curriculum is tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Develop dynamic lesson plans utilizing a variety of resources and teaching methods to make Science accessible, engaging, and stimulating.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
- Foster critical thinking by engaging students with scientific concepts, theories, and real-world applications.
- Integrate current scientific developments and events into lessons, helping students connect their learning with the world around them.
- Support students in developing key scientific skills, such as research, analysis, and problem-solving, to prepare them for both academic and future challenges.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department and across other subjects to share best practices, enhance cross-curricular learning, and improve student outcomes.
- Contribute to the co-curricular program by organizing Science-related clubs, workshops, and guest speaker events.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and personal growth.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). - Experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum and assessment practices.
- A degree in a Science-related subject (desirable).
- A passion for teaching Science and inspiring students to explore and enjoy the subject.
