Full Job Description

35 hours a week, term time only (plus staff development days). Highsted Academy Trust Pay Band 4: £21,389 We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic person to join our science team at this high achieving girls' grammar school. The successful applicant will have experience of working in a laboratory environment, preferably in a school. You will be required to prepare science experiments at all key stages up to and including A Level investigations. The role includes preparation and maintenance of equipment, providing support to science staff in preparing resources for lessons and assisting pupils and staff in the classroom. With a strong interest in science, you will have high standards and a methodical and organised approach. Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and the possession of related qualifications would be an advantage. A first aid qualification is desirable or willingness to undergo first aid training. Specific Health & Safety training will be given as required. This post requires an innovative hard-working individual who is dedicated, diligent and flexible with a good knowledge of Microsoft office and preferably SIMS. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in an accurate and effective manner is essential. A first aid qualification is desirable or willingness to undergo first aid training.
