Science Technician - Physics

In this key role you will work onsite, supervising and organising practical provisions for Physics lessons across years 7 to 13 (including A Level and IB) and contribute to the safe and efficient running of the prep room, with related duties outside of term time.

The team, comprising 8 specialist Physics teachers and 3 dedicated technicians is both friendly and professional and all share a deep commitment to supporting excellent teaching and learning. The department is thriving and extremely well resourced. Around 40 students study Physics at A Level or IB each year, as well as over 100 studying Physics at GCSE.

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our Physics department. For the right candidate there may also be the opportunity to work across our other science disciplines - Biology and/ or Chemistry. Candidates must have either previous experience of working within a scientific laboratory or possess a suitable qualification and have a willingness to learn.

22 hours per week, term-time plus (working 37 weeks per year). Happy to talk flexible working. Salary: Up to £13,144 per annum including holiday pay (based on 15.55% of annual salary) for 22 hours per week, 37 weeks per year (FTE salary: up to £29,067 per annum). Starting salary dependent on skills, qualifications and experience.
