Full Job Description
The Oncology Scientific Communications Manager is a key role within our medical affairs and wider brand team, working on our Haematology Oncology portfolio. This role relies on solid organisational and administrative skills, combined with an ability to communicate and advance Amgen's scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's goals, objectives and affiliate medical plans. This role is integral in ensuring accuracy in the communication of data on our products across the medical and scientific community and supporting our internal cross functional partners. As such this role demands an experienced professional with a proven ability to effectively communicate complex scientific matters with stakeholders at all levels. All activities will be conducted in compliance with UK ABPI and Amgen regulatory standards and include:
- Planning the communication of complex cutting edge, scientific information to healthcare professionals.
- Leading on the planning and delivery of digital Medical activities.
- Being a key stakeholder within Medical and Brand teams based on Local and Global strategies and team priorities.
- Partnering and close cooperation with Cross Functional Brand Team members within the UK/Ireland affiliate as well as within our Global organization
- Leading in the development of non-promotional educational materials and review of other non-promotional materials as per ABPI and Amgen SOPs
- Providing support to commercial in the development of promotional materials with scientific content and reviewing promotional material as per Amgen SOPs Be part of our team You will be joining the Oncology Medical team comprising a Medical Director, Senior Medical Managers, Scientific Communications Managers and Medical Science Liaisons, as well as cross functional brand teams comprising commercial and VAP colleagues.
- Scientific, pharmacy or medical degree or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training.
- Knowledge of regulatory / safety / legal requirements and implications of Medical Communication and Medical Information activities
- Broad scientific knowledge and specific knowledge relevant to haematology oncology therapeutic area would be an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of the ABPI code, regulatory affairs and drug safety LOCATION Ability to work flexibly from home with regular office work either from our Cambridge or Uxbridge next generation workspace.
