Full Job Description

We are looking for a Scientific Editor to join our team in Europe and contribute to Cancer Cell and Trends in Cancer. Reporting to the Editors-in-Chief, you will work across both journals, bringing a strong background in cancer research and a passion for scientific communication. This role offers the opportunity to engage with the cancer research community, assess cutting-edge submissions, and help shape the journals' future directions.,

  • Evaluating research submissions and provide editorial recommendations for Cancer Cell.
  • Commissioning and editing Reviews, Perspectives, and front matter for Trends in Cancer.
  • Managing the peer-review process to ensure high standards of author service.
  • Building relationships with researchers and recruit innovative content.
  • Representing the journals at scientific conferences and institutions, primarily in Europe.
  • Collaborating with editorial teams and academic Advisory Board members to enhance journal impact.
  • Contributing to strategy development through data-driven innovation approaches.
  • Strengthening journal visibility and organize relevant scientific events.

    A PhD or MD in cancer research or clinical oncology.
  • Strong scientific communication skills and a genuine passion for oncology.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and an enthusiasm for learning.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global team.
  • A proactive attitude with a strategic, solution-oriented approach.
