An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SCM Category Lead; responsible for Logistics and Office & Factory Supplies, to join our Supply Chain Management team in the UK. In this role, you will have responsibility for managing the total Purchasing Volume (PVO) of assigned indirect material commodities, which exceeds €100Mil (UK). As a Category Lead, your main objective will be to drive procurement value across Siemens UK businesses while collaborating with UK, EMEA, and global teams. - Develop and implement Category strategies driving commercial competitiveness whilst aligned to Siemens strategic pillars of Sustainability, Digitalisation & Resilience.
- Full responsibility of commodities relating to Logistics, Office & Factory Supplies, and potential others.
- Identify and lead projects that drive the SCM UK organisation forward.
- Leadership and growth of category team.
- Strategic supplier management to drive innovation & value add.
- Build strong customer relationships and effective communication networks.
- Represent UK at a Regional (EMEA) and Global level.
- Embrace a 'procurement with purpose' culture driving a positive impact for society and the environment.
- Build a network of external relationships and bring intelligence of future market movements.
- Create and lead Western Europe and Africa wide SCM projects and initiatives that bring benefits to our Regions and strengthen collaboration. You'll build on your existing expertise, including:
- Strategic procurement expertise, preferably in the indirect arena.
