Full Job Description

The University Community Mental Health Team is a small team providing secondary mental health care to the student population of Exeter University. It is is a multidisciplinary team and has close working links with the Universities Student Wellbeing Services. You will be working as dedicated practitioner to the University Community Mental Health Team alongside mental health treatment practitioners, psychology, psychiatry and social care. You will:

  • Provide a combined consultation, advice, triage and liaison function.
  • Work with patients to:
  • 1. support shared decision-making about self-management; 2. facilitate onward access to treatment services; 3. provide brief psychological interventions, where appropriate.
  • Work closely with The University CMHT to help address the potential range of biopsychosocial needs of students with mental health problems.
  • You will be fully integrated into the CMHT providing a key role to ensure the appropriate management of referrals to the team.
