Full Job Description

As one of three Screening Officers on the Bridge, you will be the first point of contact for members of the public and professionals from partner agencies. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including answering calls to the Bridge, dealing with requests for information and signposting families to services in Salford. Further details can be found in the attached role profile.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person with experience of working with families and services in Salford. You will be expected to handle a variety of different tasks and it's important you are confident answering and making telephone calls, maintaining a professional yet caring manner. You must be proficient with IT and able to record and process information accurately. You should be able to prioritise and organise your workload to meet deadlines, and seek advice from Social Workers and the management team where appropriate. Due to the nature of our work it is imperative you are able to maintain confidentiality and apply data protection principles.You will be expected to work flexibly as a member of the team and be willing to offer support to colleagues.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £38.00. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months' salary payments at a rate of £9.50 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £38.00.
