Screening Technician | North Bristol NHS Trust

The Bristol, Bath & Weston AAA Screening programme is part of a National Screening programme, aimed atmen aged65and over.

We are seekingascreening technician to undertake abdominal ultrasound scanning within communitysettings such as GP surgeries.

The successful applicant will undertake ultrasound training to ensure standards of scanning are metin accordance withnational standard operating procedures. If not already NAAASP qualified,this will involve successfulcompletionof theAAA Health Screeners Diploma Qualification. Experience in ultrasound isadvantageousbut is not necessary, however applicants must have a good basic education and the willingness to work towards full qualification within a reasonabletimeframe.

This is a12 monthfixed term,part time post working22.5hours per week.

Applicants must have a clean driving license and the use of a car with business insurance, as you willbe requiredto use your own transporteach day,to attend screening venues throughout theBristol,South Gloucestershire,Bath & Westonarea., The primary purpose of this role is to undertake abdominal ultrasound scanning as part of the community AAA screening programme.

Duties could also include AAA administration, promotion, equipment checks, audit & research.

The role is communitybasedand you will be expected to travel to the screening venues across the Bristol, Bath, NorthSomersetand South Gloucestershire area.

The screening programme has a well established friendly hard working team. The role requires flexibility and you get to attend a different venue every day.
