Full Job Description

The clinical work will consist of:

Operating Theatres - first assistant or primary operator with dual console supervision with at least 2 operating theatre days per week, working with two European proctors.

Participation in the organisation of operating timetable and admissions.

Undertake daily ward round

Carrying out general ward work as part of the rota, under the supervision of the consultant.

Supervising junior doctor ward work

Attendance of MDTs

Attendance and presentation in audit meetings, teaching programme and research meetings.

Nights and weekend cover.

We are looking for registrars who will be post-CCT in August 2024 with senior thoracic surgery experience who are motivated and enthusiastic and wish to develop a sub-specialty interest in robotic thoracic surgery. In addition to your clinical duties providing care to thoracic surgery patients, managing referrals and attending the operating theatre, you will also be attending regular multidisciplinary meetings, participating in the weekly educational programme., The applicants must have full GMC registration with a license to practice and possess FRCS/MRCS or equivalent.
