Full Job Description

As a Night Stock Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Accepting deliveries, working delivery stock onto shop floor and racking away overs
  • Replenishing sections from the stockroom and merchandising when needed
  • Pricing, tagging and price sweep compliance
  • Promotional set up and window displays
  • Keeping a clean and tidy working environment

    Reliable and flexible in the hours you can work?
  • Fast paced and efficient, able to always keep a tidy and safe environment?
  • Physically fit and able to move stock around the store, both independently and as part of a team?
  • Trustworthy and responsible to achieve the tasks set, able to apply logic and communicate well if problems arise?

    Starting on a 20 hour contract you will learn the role before transitioning to night shift patterns, with hours per week up to 37.5. When on 37.5 hours per week you would typically start work at 10pm or 11pm at night and work through till the next morning. Having a flexible approach and a commitment to help the store operate, it is key for this role that you are able to work these hours.

  • You will need to commit to work the entire night shift duration which varies from 2 to 8 weeks depending on the store.
  • Your final night shift will end on the morning of Tuesday 24th December
  • Getting to and from the store safely, at any time, is up to you, and you will need to travel outside of work hours
  • If you have any other paid work or volunteering that could be affected, you may need to reconsider - you will need to make sure you are able to get plenty of rest in between shifts
