Full Job Description
- To support the Director of Education (Secondary) in the core mission of the Trust and in the delivery of the Trust's education strategy.
- To promote high expectations for all pupils across Trust schools.
- To work alongside and support individual schools to improve their attendance and behaviour systems, processes, and procedures, identifying barriers and providing solutions to improve attendance and behaviour.
- To lead evidence-based intervention strategies to improve attendance and behaviour across varying school contexts.
- To manage and implement action plans to support schools to improve the attendance and behaviour of their pupils.
- To work with schools on the management of alternative provision. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with the Director of Education (Secondary), central team, directors, secondary headteachers, Local Governing Bodies and staff to deliver the Romero CAT vision, aims and objectives.
- Providing regular high-quality support and challenge for Headteachers and school leaders with particular regard to the attendance and behaviour of their pupils.
- Leading, supporting, and developing quality assurance procedures for attendance and behaviour at school and Trust level.
- Analysing school data and performance in terms of attendance and behaviour, and providing reports to the Trust board.
- Diagnosing issues, brokering support, monitoring impact and building outstanding leadership capacity within identified schools.
- Developing an understanding of the needs of all secondary schools and providing bespoke and effective support to targeted schools to enable continuous improvement.
- Leading a programme of attendance and behaviour professional learning across all areas and levels of the Trust.
- Supporting identified schools in need outside of our Trust as directed. At a school level, the key tasks include:
- Rigorous focus on attendance and behaviour to ensure school and Trust-wide systems and strategies are making a measurable difference.
- Scrutiny of the impact of the work of schools on attendance and behaviour, highlighting any concerns, and making recommendations for solutions where improvement is not rapid enough.
- Supporting schools in the identification and sourcing of suitable alternative provision to meet the needs of individual pupils.
- Ensure academy improvement planning is ambitious, sharp, and focused on key priorities, and is monitored effectively.
- Help schools to prepare for external inspection.
- Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required.

- Advise & support schools across the trust to ensure robust policies & procedures are in place as and when required. Culture
- Responsible for the Health and Safety, security and welfare of self and colleagues in accordance with the trust's policies and procedures, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
