Full Job Description

The Market Research category is expanding rapidly through strategic business programs and new product launches. This category encompasses three subcategories with a total spend of approximately $450 million: primary market research, data analytics, and secondary data (sales data). This role will focus on enhancing, leading, and executing the global strategy for the secondary data category, to support the overall value delivery. You will report into the Global Procurement Market Research Category Director. A centrally governed process for secondary data purchase and secondary data modelling has been established. You will focus on directing this new organisation, advancing the strategy, and applying it consistently across global regions.,

  • Lead & execute the global secondary data category strategy to support overall value delivery, in alignment with the Market Research & Global Procurement objectives.
  • Embed sustainable growth within the strategy to deliver our carbon negative agenda and protect the planet.
  • Embed excellence in the Global Category Management process, supporting capability uplift and value delivery across business.
  • Engage with business partners & the procurement market research team ensuring value delivery to the global brand strategies.
  • Collaborate with regions and/or global functions to strategically manage the Global Secondary data Category areas.
  • Deliver the annual financial and non-financial targets for the portfolio of your category, in support of the overall Global Market Research Procurement business objectives.
  • Be responsible for the contract negotiations to achieve the Key Performance Indicators and targets.
  • Develop a 3-year strategic plans for the entire spend area within the portfolio (including overarching accountability for sub-category areas within any given category).
  • Implementation:
  • Project Manager within the Market Research Procurement team.
  • Improve work processes, lead the implementation of various projects and oversee an external consulting team when needed.
  • Collaborate with global procurement teams to increase awareness, support change management, and identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Evolve the project impact with category/business strategies.
  • Create a sense of purpose, inspiring, and engaging the procurement community.
  • Business, Procurement & Supplier Engagement:
  • Develop and communicate the strategy & the long-term goals for the category, to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensures that Category Strategies are aligned to current and future business needs and that the business / supply base can support these strategies.
  • Deliver the value and benefits within sourcing, cost management, contract management, supplier relationship management, supplier development, sustainable growth and innovation.
  • Manage governance to ensure that commercial decisions are in line with the overall business strategy and with the input of collaborators.
  • Maintain a forward-looking portfolio activity plan which clearly defines the sourcing, cost management, projects, that will deliver year-on-year results.
  • Lead our supplier relationship management process with strategic partners and preferred suppliers.

    Demonstrated responsibility for multiple strategic global categories, including the development and execution of these strategies to enhance overall value delivery.
  • Extensive experience in project management within a complex, global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, strategies, and operating models.
  • Extensive procurement expertise & experience at market, regional, or global levels.
  • Proven ability in engagement and collaboration at all levels of the organisation
  • Significant experience in process improvement with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and reporting capabilities: ability to communicate a clear & aligned vision.
  • Experience in delivering annual financial and non-financial targets
  • Effective influencer with strong cultural awareness to inspire change and identify opportunities.
  • Passionate about problem-solving, continuous improvement and change.
