Full Job Description

  • The Section Leader is fundamental to the efficient running of small teams required within the production process. This is largely a Factory based role which involves managing, motivating and driving the team to work safely and achieve their targets.
  • To manage a small team and ensure that they have the necessary skills, tools and materials to perform their tasks.
  • To ensure all tasks are performed in a safe manner, and that the required quality and time targets are achieved.
  • To escalate all issues which are detrimental to achieving the daily targets.
  • DUTIES:
  • Responsibility for a small team of up to 20 team members.
  • Confidently lead and manage the team to achieve targets/production schedule by co-ordinating operations.
  • Manage team discipline and behaviours by ensure all team members are adhering to the designated start, finish and break times.
  • Ensure all team members are achieving the correct H&S, quality and standard time criteria for their allocated tasks.
  • Arrange necessary resources/materials/tools to enable work to proceed, and ensure all challenges are escalated where necessary to enable timely resolution.
  • Perform daily team briefings in line with SQCD protocol.
  • Ensure the team are wearing the correct PPE and following Health and Safety protocols.
  • Proactively establish and maintain a good housekeeping regime:
  • Ensure factory areas are kept clear and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure all aisles and fire doors are continually monitored for build-up of debris.
  • Removal of all waste to the appropriate skips
  • Carry out all necessary administration duties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are followed in accordance with the QMS system.
  • Any other duties as required.

    Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am to 3.00pm (40 hours) Monthly paid Annual leave 20 days per annum plus Christmas and Bank Holidays Private medical insurance
