Section Leader Biomedical Scientist

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Band 7 Section Leader to join our dynamic Biochemistry team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the delivery of high-quality Clinical Biochemistry services across two general hospitals, with your primary location at the newly commissioned laboratory at Prince Charles Hospital., Manage daily laboratory operations, including staff, resources, and specialist technical services in automation. Supervise, train staff, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality assurance standards are met. Report performance to senior management and work autonomously while adhering to broad policies and procedures.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

This is a fixed-term, full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours per week. Core working hours are Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:10, although occasional work outside of these hours may be required to cover sickness absences.
