Section Leader - Day Shift

Ferrero is thrilled to announce an opening for the position of Section Leader at our plant in Halstead, Essex. As a member of the Ferrero family, you will be part of a team dedicated to producing high-quality fruit and nut bars. In this role, you will manage up to 15 production operatives, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and effectively. Whilst your leadership skills will be crucial in maintaining our standards of quality and promoting continuous improvement within a practical, hands-on environment.

This position is ideal for those who excel in leadership and are eager to contribute to the efficiency of our production processes., As a Section Leader at our Halstead Plant, you will be instrumental in overseeing our production lines to ensure they operate efficiently and adhere to our high standards of quality. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a productive and motivated team atmosphere. You'll be responsible for managing inventory and adhering to our established procedures across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment (SQCDME), aiming to boost our overall performance.

Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will coordinate closely with the Production Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on production objectives and strategies. Part of your responsibilities will include scheduling personnel effectively, optimising our resources while maintaining budgetary control. You will also play a pivotal role in enforcing stringent safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Additionally, you will lead problem-solving efforts to address any issues that arise on the production floor, continuously seeking ways to enhance processes. Monitoring the performance of the production lines will be a key part of your role, enabling you to identify improvement opportunities and promote operational excellence.

Building and maintaining strong relationships within your team is vital, as you will take full ownership of your area and motivate your colleagues to excel.
