Full Job Description

  • To manage a production team/process supplying a variety of products to Renishaw's Sales Subsidiaries around the world.
  • To ensure the smooth introduction of engineering change for products and processes, keeping the impact and cost for the business to a minimum.
  • To co-ordinate the necessary activities to address all production and quality concerns relating to products and their processes within the department.
  • Planning and control of demand and production requirements.
  • Inventory planning and control.
  • Management and organisation of staff in the cell.
  • Training and development of staff.
  • Build a successful team. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

    Computer literate and able to produce graphical data to reflect key performance elements of the position. demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Able to understand and interpret business needs and communicate these across a broad range of people.
  • Broad understanding and appreciation of key operational areas including quality, product and engineering, combined with a common sense and a numerical aptitude.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of materials management.
  • Experience of managing and motivating teams.
  • Desirable requirements
  • Minimum HNC qualified in a technical discipline.
  • Person specification You will display self-confidence and conviction while working within a team environment. You will have a "can do" attitude and work ethic with the ability to lead by example. You will have an analytical approach to work, working to detail in a logical and organised way. Finally, good communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for the role. To be able to work in a highly charged and personally demanding environment with the ability to maintain a positive 'can do' attitude towards the challenges that will be faced. Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure combined with successful time-management of priorities will be key to success in this role.
