As the Security Architecture Senior Manager, you'll drive strategic security initiatives, manage a team of architects, and collaborate with IT and business units to embed robust security practices. The Opportunity… The Cyber Services team support business units by providing cyber services and platforms to enable businesses to focus on their core missions. The Cyber Services team enable the EDF UK business units through the available, efficient, and effective provision of services, including architecture, monitoring & response, and security technologies. This position reports to the Head of Cyber Services and sits on the leadership team. This role manages a team of security architects, and you will liaise with technology teams as well as business units across EDF Energy to define and embed effective security practices, processes and controls into projects and change delivery as well as lead key strategic corporate initiatives.,

  • Lead a team of security architects to develop, maintain, and govern security frameworks, standards, and policies.
  • Define and deliver the Security Architecture to support EDF's IT strategy and business goals, ensuring alignment with EDF Group.
  • Engage with senior leadership across IT and business units, providing strategic security guidance and thought leadership.
  • Oversee security risk assessments, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and incorporated into IT projects and operational plans.
  • Act as a security expert in the architecture community, providing advice on IT infrastructure, new technologies, and emerging industry trends.
  • Ensure adherence to security standards, reviewing project plans and providing technical assurance for major projects.
  • Promote awareness and benefits of the Security Architecture to senior stakeholders, attending key meetings to influence business strategy.
  • Identify KPI's and SLA's that support and mature the service model
  • Support and develop EDF's threat modelling capability working with Security Architects and Business Owners

    Proven experience in security architecture, with a strong understanding of security technologies, concepts, and network security.
  • Ability to review project delivery plans, evaluate security risks, and develop effective security requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and convey complex security strategies.
  • Leadership experience in managing high-performing teams and working in agile delivery models such as SAFe.
  • Passion for cybersecurity and a proactive approach to embedding security practices across the organization.
