Security Lead (Medway Campus)

The University of Greenwich is seeking a proactive and diligent Security Campus Leadto oversee our security operations at the MedwayCampus.This pivotal role combines strategic oversight and hands-on management, ensuring that our campuses remain safe, secure, and welcoming.As the Security Campus Lead, you will be the cornerstone of our security efforts, working closely with the Facilities Management & Workplace Experience Manager to deliver top-tier security services.You'll have the autonomy to shape the security landscape, from enhancing operational procedures to leading an adept team committed to excellence.With a focus on maintaining high standards and fostering a secure environment, this position is not just a job-it's a commitment to safeguarding a vibrant academic community.If you are a seasoned security professional with a passion for excellence and a knack for effective team management, we encourage you to apply and help us keep the University of Greenwich a safe space for innovation and learning. Working Pattern: Regular Monday through Friday schedule, with the expectation to conduct out-of-hours welfare checks as needed. What you'll do:

• Security Incidents dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner in accordance with site policy and procedure.
• Assignment Instructions are relevant and adhered to in all situations.
• Standard Operating Procedures are relevant and adhered to in all situations
• Security concerns highlighted, addressed and discussed with management.
• All internal and external reports required are completed in timely and accurate way.
• Effective monitoring of communications systems.
• Company and client policy and procedure adhered to.
  
  Comprehensive knowledge of the security industry including SIA licensing regulations
• High levels of integrity and resilience
• Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
• Must be a competent people manager with excellent people skills.
• Confident at building client and stakeholder relations
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Extremely flexible and can-do attitude.
• Demonstrable experience to drive first class security services across the campus ensuring the safety of staff, students and visitors.
• Proven management experience.
• Must have an awareness of working within SLA's and KPI's
• Knowledge and experience of CCTV systems and associated licensing
• Must have working knowledge of GDPR.
• A great eye for detail with excellent report writing skills.
