Full Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Security Officers to join our team. The successful candidates will have a keen desire to develop their security skills to maintain a safe and secure environment that supports the delivery our healthcare service.
Your core responsibility will be to supply an active security presence across the Trust's Hospitals - ensuring our staff, patients and visitors enjoy a safe, trouble-free environment and a positive experience of the Trust.
This position is a full time contract of 37.5 hours per week. The present shift pattern is on a rota basis to include days and nights., The Security Officer role involves the managing of potential aggression and violence using a conflict resolution model, targeted crime reduction works and flexible security patrols. Plus the maintaining of car park security across the Trust. The extensive network of CCTV across the Trust plus the use of body-cams helps reduce the impact of crime and the successful prosecution of criminals.
Component knowledge and experience of conflict resolution skills and techniques are required for this demanding position onto which additional training will be provided to enhance your skills. We will help develop your skills to understand the special nature of an NHS security service; which is to care for patients and visitors often in pain, distress or a confused state.
