Full Job Description

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are looking to recruit a Security Officer to join our dedicated team.

We provide a 24 hour security service across all areas of the hospital site, including the various car parks and outlying buildings., Working as part of the Security Team, the post holder will provide a comprehensive security service at the hospital sites to all patients, staff and visitors.

The post holder will maintain a secure environment with the aid of Closed Circuit Television undertaking a wide range of duties in accordance with Trust polices and procedures.

The post holder will ensure the safety and protection of patients, staff, visitors, contractors and any other legitimate site users' property against loss, theft, damage and waste.

We provide care and support to over half a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, in community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (in Wakefield).

This is a permanent position, shift pattern would be 12-hour shifts, consist of working 2 days and 2 nights then followed 4 rest days.
