Security Officer

As a Security Officer in Hereford County Hospital, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors as well as the hospital facilities. • Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and patients while ensuring compliance with hospital security protocols.
• Serve as the initial responder to security incidents, alarm activations, and any reported issues or faults.
• Manage communications by logging and transferring calls, conveying messages, and providing directions and security guidance to visitors, staff, and contractors.
• Conduct regular patrols throughout the hospital premises to ensure a safe and secure environment during the shift.
  
  Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff, contractors, visitors, management, and emergency services such as local police and fire departments.
• Possesses a full, valid driving license, enabling efficient mobility as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and situational awareness, essential for ensuring the safety and security of hospital staff and visitors.
• Proven experience in security roles, preferably within healthcare or similar high-demand environments.
• Knowledge of security procedures, emergency protocols, and techniques tailored to site-specific and local safety requirements., A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is desirable however, people skills and the ability to manage complex situations, personalities and needs will tick the box and we will fund the achievement of required qualifications during employment.
