Full Job Description
We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team, working at Stockton's New Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team, to help provide a high quality and efficient, customer orientated security service working within one of our external properties. Training will be provided, so previous security experience is not essential, and this will be a great role for someone looking for the next step in their career., The role will involve both working under the supervision of the Security Manager, but also working independently during shifts, and exercising initiative. Typical Day of Working in the role of a Security Officer:
- Attend immediately to all calls for assistance involving:Those in fear of physical harm; Scenes of actual or suspected crime where personal injury is involved;Crime in progress; Fire alarms.
- Monitor CCTV systems and report, log and where necessary investigate, any untoward incidents in accordance with agreed protocols, policies and procedures.
- All crimes reported to, or discovered by the Security service will be investigated by them and/or the police service, depending on the circumstances.
- Respond to intruder alarms, inspect for signs of break in, and liaise with the Police.
- Carry out both internal and external patrols of the site
Full training will be provided for the specific role, but we are looking for previous experience of working with the general public. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative, as well as part of a team
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, where critical thinking skills are essential to take action in a timely manner where required
