Fancy a day time only Security Officer role working at some of the top attractions in London? Here at Merlin we offer something a little bit different from the usual security role. Whether it's at the iconic lastminute.com London Eye, Shrek's Adventure! London, London Dungeon or SEA LIFE, this role gives you variety, opportunity, and support to help keep everyone safe.
You won't be sat behind a desk, our SIA licensed uniformed Security Officers deal with physical security, searching guests, patrols, asset protection, first aid response and emergency situations, whilst our eagle-eyed profilers scour the area for criminality.
Where we stand out is in our interactions with our guests. Security and customer service are closely linked at Merlin - you'll engage with people from all over the world!
This is a permanent hourly paid role. Shifts are days only over a two-week rolling roster of 42 hours per week.

  • Help to protect our assets, people and places, and make our complex security operation a success

  • Work with a team of motivated professionals to provide a reassuring presence to maintain security assurance across our estates

  • Be engaging in incident and emergency response, while supporting our first aid and business continuity needs

  • As one of our Security Officers you will be expected to role model the principles of equality, diversity and inclusivity by demonstrating an inclusive and collaborative approach in working with immediate colleagues and when dealing with visitors and guests. We'll also expect you to have some basic IT skills, including the ability to use email and Microsoft Office.
    What we are looking for
  • A sound level of security experience

  • A valid SIA Door Supervisors Licence and to have held such a licence for a minimum of 2 years

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Effective interpersonal skills, being approachable with a helpful manner

  • Ability to react quickly in complicated situations

  • Effective functional English skills

  • Due to the nature of the role, we require candidates to be aged 18 or over
