Full Job Description
Vacancies have arisen to join our newly created Security Team, as a Security Operative. Working within a dedicated team to provide a 24-hour Security Service at all three University Hospitals Dorset Trust sites. You will need to work across all sites as required.
- Royal Bournemouth Hospital
- Poole Hospital
- Christchurch (Macmillan Unit, Duties include:
- To act as part of the wider Trust teams working on the prevention and reduction of criminal acts and where necessary responding with those teams to acts of violence and aggression.
- To provide efficient and effective 24-hour 7-day week patrols of the internal and external infrastructure of the Trust sites.
- To provide help and advice to Patients, Visitors and Staff.
- To support excellent patient care
The position is full time, working as part of a rota including weekend and Bank Holidays over a 24-hour period. Flexibility is required to cover colleague shifts due to leave and sickness. You will have excellent communication and customer care skills, as a large part of the role will bring you into daily contact with patients, visitors and staff from a wide range of differing backgrounds. A willingness to undertake training as legislation or the role requires is also essential. Previous experience of a similar role would be an advantage.
