Full Job Description

The Security & Deployment Engineer is responsible for the planning, deployment and management of 'commercial off the shelf' (COTS) and non-COTS software applications, vendor/manufacturer updates, security patches, operating system upgrades and device builds to ensure that the Force takes a proactive approach to the management of cyber threats.

In this role you will be manage the packaging, testing, updating and distribution of licensed applications and software products and the management of the software library, the deployment of anti virus products, patches and updates according to the manufacturers recommendations and the Force Security Policy to servers and end user devices.

You will also be maintaining, developing and deploying changes to group policy, task sequences and the configuration environments for hardware builds, operating system and the software inventory.

You will have a structured approach to carrying out investigations, problem analysis and in producing reports including recommendations

You must be familiar with Cyber security principles, identifying threats and vulnerabilities implementing solutions, developing procedures to defend and recover

Have experience in administering effective solutions to meet organisation wide customer requirements/proposals, by maintaining an in-depth technical expertise and awareness of specialised IT systems and any relevant new developments in the information technology market., Disability Confident
