Security Supervisor (12 month FTC)

Working through Universities by Sodexo, you will be responsible for ensuring the building, our students, visitors and your co-workers' safety in your role as Security Supervisor (12m FTC) at Sodexo at University of Greenwich - Chatham. • Assist in maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
• Assist and support training needs to ensure they are identified, and appropriate training & development is delivered.
• Supervision of the security team including distribution of daily requirements, briefings/roll call, administration, people supervision.
• Provide a first point of call for visitors and contractors to the site and issue visitor/contractor badges and log visitors/contractors entering and leaving the main buildings.
• Communicate with staff, students, visitors and contractors regarding enquiries, incidents and emergencies.
• Patrolling, securing, and monitoring premises, sometimes with the aid of CCTV.
• Monitor CCTV screens and take appropriate action as required, control and monitor issue of keys to staff and contractors and key codes to students as necessary.
  
  SIA Licence holder (Door supervisor and CCTV)
• 3 - 5 years experience within the security industry and as a supervisor
• Have a sound knowledge of the Quality Management Systems (Security)
• Able to use computerised systems in operation within the security sector
• Good understanding of the CCTV, fire and security systems
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work on own initiative, individually and as part of a team
• Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and data protection issues
• Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
