We're currently recruiting a dedicated Security Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 40.5 hours per week. - To forge the seamless integration of the Security and Car Parking Services.
- To plan and deliver Security and Car Parking Services that operate and best complement the overall efficiency, effectiveness and quality of Medirest Services.
- Promote Security and Car Parking awareness throughout the Trust and advise on security matters; whilst assisting Departments with identifying risk.
- Ensure that Services are delivered in line with the Security and Car Parking Service Level Specifications.
- Engage and develop a positive working relationship with stakeholders in the Consortium and Trust to ensure services delivery to the Project Agreement, embrace the ethos of continuous improvement and business excellence to support future changes and needs of the Client and Trust.
- To comply with industry best practice for Security and Car Parking Services.
- Effective management of the Security and Car Parking team.
- Responsible for the Security and Car Parking elements of the project plan in liaison with the Logistics Manager.
- To carry out any reasonable management requests.
- Introduce and maintain operational excellence principles and processes in our business to GROW.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by the Security and Car Parking Manager.
- Engage with clients to build everlasting relationships.
- Lead or participate in projects and assignments as may be required. People Management and Resourcing
- Responsible for the effective people planning, staff mapping and successful integration of Security and Car Parking teams.
- To develop our people plan to support current and future business priorities
- Development of an integrated, well trained and flexible workforce matched to the needs of the service.
- To ensure the Security and Car Parking team members are continually trained and developed via progressive utilisation of personal development plans and training including Medirest, mandatory, refresher, NVQ and modern apprenticeship frameworks and annual appraisals of staff across the services responsible.
- Facilitate, engage and plan activities to support identified talent including:
- Identifying nominations for development programmes
- Aligning people to projects
- Succession planning
- Adhere to the management of staff within statutory, contractual, Compass and local HR policies and procedures including absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures in conjunction with the embedded HR Manager and Logistics Manager.
- Assist the Security and Car Parking Manager in building a culture of open and honest communication and positive staff engagement.
- To accurately and efficiently maintain records and staff correspondence. Financial
- Assist with the management of the Security and Car Parking budget to contract baseline.
- Maintenance of labour and non pay control systems including weekly labour reporting.
- Strategic management of Security and Car Parking Services so as to best minimise the risk of service failure and penalties under the PA PMS.
- Delivery of monthly performance management data and reports
- Effective delegation of financial responsibilities within the Security & Car Parking Services structure so as to promote the principle of pushing down responsibilities to the level most able to manage performance.
- To deliver PBIT responsibilities whilst ensuring core contract quality standards are maintained. Statutory and Legislative Management
- Responsible for compliance with all statutory / regulatory legislation pertaining to Security and Car Parking Services inclusive but not exclusively:
- Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation
- Security Industry Act
- Lifting and Handling Legislation
- Waste Management Legislation
- Adherence to Compass and Trust related specific operational, statutory and legislative policies and procedures.
- Represent Medirest at Security Liaisons, CPUG, Car Parking Appeals H&S groups.
- Responsibility for promoting and delivering a Health and Safety and risk aware culture. Manage a unified system of incident / accident reporting to Compass and Client requirements.
- Maintain statistical information around performance management of services. Information Technology
- Utilisation of Information Technology such as Helpdesk to best deliver operational and management targets of the Security and Car Parking and aligned services.
- Responsible for planning and delivering the integration of IT and mobile communications for Security and Car Parking, inclusive of maintenance of all necessary licences.
Must have experience in Supervisory support / soft services business in the NHS or private sector. - Must be able to demonstrate a pro active approach to business initiatives and change.
- Must have financial and commercial awareness and be able to demonstrate achieving financial targets and KPI results.
- Managing staff including absence, disciplinary and investigation skills and excellent communicator at all levels
- Client and customer focused.
- Able to influence stakeholders including managers, client and staff.
- Must demonstrate leadership; able to motivate and achieve results through your team.
- High level of numeracy and literacy skills including report writing and compile and interpret data.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement of team or function.
- Must be IT literate in Microsoft Office.
- Must hold an up to date SIA License (to be able to manage a Security team)
