Full Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and tech-savvy individual to join our team as an SIA Security Training Department Consultant. The successful candidate will support the administrative functions of our SIA security training programs, including invigilating exams and traveling to external course locations. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our training programs and maintaining high standards of compliance.,

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the training department, including scheduling courses, managing course materials, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support Business Marketing : Support promotion of the training business via LinkedIn and over social media channels
  • Client focused - Developing a strong working relationship with training providers, customers and employment agencies. Develop Innovative new ways to enhance the learning and development of the security workforce.
  • Exam Invigilation: Oversee the administration and invigilation of SIA exams, ensuring all procedures are followed, and maintaining exam integrity.
  • Travel Coordination: Travel to external training course locations as required to support and manage on-site training activities. Ensure all necessary materials and equipment are available and set up at these locations.
  • Customer Service: Respond to inquiries from prospective and current trainees, providing information about courses, schedules, and requirements.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update trainee records, course schedules, and other relevant data using our IT systems. Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • IT Skills: Utilize various software applications to manage course bookings, process payments, and generate reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software is required.
  • Organisational Skills: Develop and implement efficient administrative processes to enhance the training department's operations. Coordinate with trainers and other staff to ensure smooth course delivery.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to changing schedules and requirements, including the potential for weekend overtime. Be willing to travel to different training locations as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other administrators, trainers, and the Training Department Manager to ensure effective communication and coordination within the team..

    Experience: Previous administrative experience, preferably in a training or educational environment. Experience with exam invigilation is an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to travel to external training locations and carry training materials as needed.
  • Availability: Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 08.30-16.30 Flexibility to work additional hours, including potential weekend overtime, is required.

  • Education:
  • High school qualifications or equivalent desirable. Additional training or certification in administration or IT is beneficial. Security knowledge is beneficial. Experience working within a training centre is beneficial but not essential.

    Salary- £25000.00 PA - Opportunities for weekend overtime.
