Full Job Description
I am a 41 year old man with Autism needing support with going out walking/taking exercise, domestic tasks, shopping, meal planning and paperwork. I keep tropical pets e.g. tarantulas and a python but they are kept safely in containers. I enjoy my Playstation, classical and 80s music and football. I like to be as independent as possible but need reminders/encouragement to carry out personal tasks. You would also be required to help me develop confidence with going out and social situations. Must be friendly, patient, flexible and able to motivate. You will need to provide evidence of your self employed status, HMRC registration and public liability insurance. Duties include: Administration Housekeeping Shopping Companionship Support/accompany with going out for walks Reminders to carry out personal tasks, All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required. Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position, you will be either engaged directly or employed by the individual employer and not by Independent Lives. The role may be offered on an employed or self-employed basis, depending on the suitability and agreement with the employer. If the role is employed, you will be entitled to holiday pay and issued an employment contract.
